15 years of design industry experience as both an in-house designer and art director as well principal and partner of Green Acres Design, a boutique design and marketing agency that services multiple market segments nationally. He has worked for a diverse range of multi-national clients including Disney, Neutrogena, 24 Hour Fitness, and Edwards Life Sciences, ESRI. His main body of work has consisted of taking clients through the branding process or promotional design process to build brand identity programs and or multi-level customer facing applications for promotional campaigns in print, video and web.

Mr. Oakes simultaneously has taught at both Cal State San Bernardino and Art Institute of California as an adjunct professor for over 6 years and now holds a position as Assistant Professor.

He has won several design awards for excellence in advertising from the American Advertising Federation both regionally and nationally and has been a guest speaker or workshop facilitator for the National Association of Home Builders, California State University San Bernardino, Loma Linda University and Azusa Pacific University. His philanthropic activities include pro-bono work for regional non-profits in need of both branding and marketing services, as well work directly with students from local universities in formal internship programs at his agency.
